Sandra C. Ritz, Esq.

Attorney at Law

Ms. Ritz earned her B.A. in Political Science and Communications from Texas A&I University and her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. As a law student, she gained excellent trial experience as a student attorney for the Juvenile Public Defender’s office and then for the Federal Public Defender’s office, where she discovered her passion for criminal defense. Upon being licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas in 1995, Ms. Ritz joined the Law Office of Joseph A. Turner, trying cases in both federal and state courts. Ms. Ritz's dedication to practicing criminal defense led her to open her own law office in 2001. Ms. Ritz is a member of the Travis County Women’s Lawyer Association, National Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and Hispanic Bar Association of Austin. Ms. Ritz spends time  raising funds for Crime Stoppers, and mentoring students at the University of Texas School of Law. She is also the proud mother of Savannah and Jackson Ritz. Profiled in both the Austin Woman's Monthly Magazine and the Austin American Statesman, Sandra Ritz has earned great success and continues to enjoy a rewarding career as a criminal defense attorney.

Jennifer C. Arnold

Senior Paralegal

Jennifer graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in Sociology, emphasis on Criminology and Corporate Communication. While in college, she was an active member of Kappa Delta, Sigma Epsilon Chapter, as an Internal and External Social and Slating Committee.  She also participated in Shamrock community service initiatives events for Prevent Child Abuse America and Girl Scouts of the USA and is a proud supporter of the Humane Society. Jennifer is licensed as a Notary Public in the State of Texas.


Kate Werner

Legal Assistant II

Kate is a 2023 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in Rhetoric and Writing with a minor in Sociology. While attending the university, she received University Honors, was on the Dean's List, Magna Cum Laude, a volunteer for the SAFE Alliance and EducateUS, and an Intern for UN|HUSHED. She also participated in the UT Law Mock Trial Sparring Rounds and was a member/fundraiser for Voices Against Violence Student Organization. She has a passion for the law and plans to begin law school in the Fall of '25.


Ben Dworin

Legal Assistant

Born and raised in Austin, Ben graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and minor in Legal Studies from Texas Tech University.  While in college, he was a News Writer/Student Senate Correspondent for the Daily Toreador and a Canvasser for the Travis County Democrats. Following graduation, he was a Volunteer Oral Surgeon Assistant at the Williamson County Jail, providing essential oral surgery and dental care services to inmates within the Williamson County jail. He is presently completing curriculum to obtain his Paralegal certificate, with future goals of attending law school.
